Scarlet Macaw in Costa Rica

Costa Rica recently became the number one “adventure tourism” destination in the world, beating out Hawaii for the top spot. For many, Costa Rica is the ideal place to go on a yoga retreat in a lush tropial jungle, or overlooking a turquoise sea. Besides yoga, Costa Rica also offers all types of other sports for the active person – surfing, biking, hiking, kayaking, rafting, sailing, and just about anything else you can imagine.

There are thousands of companies and organizations catering to tourism in Costa Rica, but a few are dedicated to sustainable tourism in a variety of ways. Please help us to fill in this section by suggesting links to good companies and groups that are promoting sustainable tourism.
