Costa Rica wildlife, animal, rescue centers, zoos, and volunteer organizations Costa Rica has a great number of organizations working to protect animals, and they need your help. The bureaucracy surrounding anything to do with wildlife in Costa Rica is daunting, and the permitting process for even a small rescue center or hospital can take years and thousands of dollars to complete. Kids Saving the Rainforest - Central Pacific - Manuel Antonio based group dedicated to all areas of rainforest and animal protection.
Montezuma Orchids - Montezuma - Photos of orchids found in the dry tropical forests in the Montezuma/Malpais region of Costa Rica.
Naturacultura Foundation - Guanacaste - Guanacaste foundation, founded by Playas de las Palmas, which gives financial support to organizations that protect Costa Rica's environment and wildlife and preserve its culture and heritage. Its president is Leonora Jimenez, Miss Costa Rica.
