A warm welcome awaits you nestled in between the clouds & rainforest … I simply love this place for writing, the quiet is sublime! After speaking with the owners Rolando & Sonia McAdam (which are a delight & ready to shower you with attention) I found out that many poets and writers stay in this house for extended periods of time. My morning consisted of waking up and making myself a typical breakfast in their fully equipped kitchen with a traditional Costa Rican coffee maker, fresh eggs from happy local chickens, veggies and tortillas from the local farmers market held every Saturday. After breakfast, I packed a bag with some water (The tap water in Monteverde is among the best in the world—true, fresh, mountain spring water!) and headed to the Biological Reserve that is right next to the Casita. Also know as “Reserva Biológica Bosque Nuboso”
Casa Ira Rosa is situated in the mountains of Monteverde just a few minutes walk to the world famous Monteverde Reserve. This peaceful retreat, Casa Hira Rosa, is nestled within the misty canopy and offers a distinct log cabin feel constructed of beautiful natural wood and set in lush green vegetation. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and 2 large living rooms and a porch! Great for families!
Cool, misty cloudforest and deep green foliage is what has made Monteverde an absolute hot spot for eco tourism in the Central Highlands of Costa Rica. This zone is home to a string of volcanoes, both active and dormant, beautiful national parks and diverse weather!
